In my “second career” I have become a potter. I work primarily with porcelain thrown on the potter’s wheel . As a new “student of the game” I am extremely motivated to strive for great technique, beautiful color and simple design of functional ware.
I continue to be on of the luckiest people in the world. I have become passionate once again in my daily “work”.
As a full time Coach at a Division I University in New York, I would “ run” to work everyday for 25 years. I love it. Now, I rush off to work with clay at my home studio in Venice or Echo studio in L.A. or to Santa Monica College ceramic studio.
I am so fortunate to have the generous and unending encouragement of my spouse, Elaine. Thank you for giving me direction. It’s all your fault.
Many thanks to my teachers Carlos Rivera and Ki Cho of Echo Ceramics and to Frank Phillips of Santa Monica College.
