Later in life, and as a father, Sandy bought a bag of air dry clay to play together with his young son. It was at that moment, making a simple little pinch pot, that Sandy’s passion for ceramics was rekindled. Since then he has studied under the tutelage of Master Potter Wyn Mathews, and later Professor Jenchi Wu at Ventura College. Sandy appreciates the therapeutic qualities of ceramics. He states that “working with clay is connecting with Earth- you center the clay and the clay centers you!”
Sandy can be found working at the studio, managing the kiln firings and teaching on occasion. He enjoys the challenge of keeping things flowing at the studio.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
